Based in coastal New England, I find inspiration in the breathtaking landscape that surrounds me. I often find myself in awe of the sublime beauty of a fleeting moment; the light catching over the water in a scene of cerulean and glitter, a dramatic sunset of vibrant light and color, or the rolling in of fog before it settles. This ardent admiration of nature drives me to create pieces that embody the essence of a captivating moment. Through a combination of plein air painting and the use of my personal photography as reference, I use the delicate medium of watercolor to depict these coastal landscapes. My work aims to serve as a reminder of the remarkable world we live in and to encourage the viewer to find moments of fleeting beauty or stillness for themselves.
